Multi-File Search
User Functionality > Searching > Multi-File Search

Multi-file search enables you to simultaneously search for and locate up to 1,000 files that are stored at Iron Mountain. This time-saving feature enables you to type in data, or cut and paste from a spreadsheet directly into the search field.

  1. Select Multi-File Search from the Search Tools drop-down menu located at the top of the Left-side Search Bar. The Multi-File Search screen opens.
  2. Select the Customer that the files belong to. The drop-down list displays only customers for whom you have been granted access by your system administrator.
  3. Select the field you will use to search records:
  1. Type or paste SKP barcodes, customer box numbers or file descriptions in the entry area. Press <ENTER> or use a comma to separate your entries.
  2. Click Search.The Search Results screen opens with your results displayed. Refer to the instructions for Entering a Retrieval Order to add these items to your basket and place them on a retrieval order.

If Items Are Not Found During a Multi-File Search

If not all of your files are found during a Multi-File Search, a banner message displays at the top of the Search Results screen.

  1. Click the link in the message to view the SKP barcodes, customer box numbers or file descriptions for the items.
  2. When you have reviewed the missing items, click OK to return to the Search Results screen.
